Final Environmental Impact Statement for Vandenberg Rocket Launches
The Department of the Air Force has published its Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) regarding the planned increase in launches from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The environmental assessments reviewed the potential cumulative effect of an anticipated 100 launches per year of Falcon 9 and Falcon 9 Heavy rockets, with evaluations in 15 categories including air, water, and soil quality, noise, and socioeconomic impact.
Printed copies of the Final EIS are available to the public at designated locations.
