With International Champagne Day approaching on October 24, 2025, we've rounded up eight Champagnes to try. Sparkling wine is produced globally, but only one region can claim the name "Champagne".
Beyond legal reasons, the unique terroir of Champagne, particularly its chalky soils, combined with centuries of winemaking history, leaves a distinct imprint on the wine. Located about two-and-a-half hours east of Paris, Champagne is a single appellation with five main subregions:

- Côte des Blancs
- Côte de Sézanne
- Côte des Bar
