Major delays occurred in railway services in Birmingham after a person died on a railway track between Birmingham New Street Station and Birmingham International.
The incident happened shortly before midday on Wednesday, October 15, at Marston Green Railway Station. Medics and police responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"We were called to Marston Green Station, Holly Lane, Birmingham at 11.48am following reports of an incident on the railway line. An ambulance and two paramedic officers responded. Sadly a pedestrian was confirmed deceased on scene."
A British Transport Police spokesperson stated: "Officers were called at around 11.50am today (15 October) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Marston Green Railway Station.
