Palmer's Plan to Place Buninyong on Top
Freya Palmer will captain the inaugural Buninyong's First XI team in the Ballarat Cricket Association women's league.
Palmer has a significant task ahead, but she is eager to start. She will toss the coin as Buninyong plays its first-ever game against Brown Hill on Friday night.
"We weren't quite able to get the numbers last year, but we've done a lot of recruiting this year and now we've managed to get ourselves a top division team, we're so excited about getting out there," she said.
Palmer is a young veteran, having grown up with the now-defunct Ballarat Bolts team, which won multiple premierships.
