Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education
The Education Department and senior White House officials sent the "Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education" to nine universities on Oct. 1.
The universities invited to join the Compact include:
- University of Virginia
- Brown University
- Dartmouth College
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- University of Arizona
- University of Pennsylvania
- University of Southern California
- University of Texas at Austin
- Vanderbilt University
According to an anonymous source at the Education Department, a Truth Social post by President Donald Trump aimed to invite all American universities to join the Compact.
