The workshop, Coastal Futures: Exploring Nature-Based Solutions, featured international participants from the German-American Nature-Based Solutions Exchange, Texas A&M University at Galveston faculty and students, and members of the public.
Notable speakers included Martha Richeson, member of the Galveston Bay Area Master Naturalists and Native Plant Society of Texas, who discussed native prairie plants, and Jens Figlus, Department of Ocean Engineering Texas A&M University, who spoke about seaweed dunes and coastal resiliency.
The two-day workshop was co-hosted by Texas Sea Grant and European Post‐Carbon Cities of Tomorrow on the Texas A&M University at Galveston campus.
