B.C. Lions 37, Edmonton Elks 24: Robert Carter interception, TD run key in surging Vancouver win
With just 74 seconds left in the opening half, Nathan Rourke marched the Lions 78 yards in eight plays, throwing three consecutive first-down passes.
B.C. Lions cornerback Robert Carter Jr. made one of the biggest plays of the game, picking off a Cody Fajardo pass early in the third quarter and returning it 50 yards for a touchdown.
The Lions overcame a deficit by rattling off 25 consecutive points in a 37-24 win that eliminated the Edmonton Elks from the CFL playoffs Friday night.
Carter was so excited after giving the Lions a 17-10 lead he threw the ball into the stands.
