Whirlpool Corporation plans to invest $300 million in its U.S. manufacturing facilities in Ohio, creating 400-600 new jobs.
The investment will be made at two existing locations in Clyde and Marion, Ohio, and will support the production of next-generation washers and dryers.
“Whirlpool Corporation’s unwavering commitment to American manufacturing is a cornerstone of our identity,” said Marc Bitzer, Chairman and CEO of Whirlpool Corporation.
The investment will also support approximately 5,000 additional jobs outside the company.
