Elgin City Defender Leaves for Highland League Club

Elgin City have confirmed that central defender Ross Draper has left the club to sign for Highland League champions Brora Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

Draper had been with Elgin City for three years, since signing in 2022. The club released a statement explaining that Draper approached them to discuss a personal opportunity away from football, and after open conversations, both parties agreed that a move was in his best interests.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Elgin City and can’t thank everyone enough — the players, staff, supporters, and board — for how they’ve treated me. This has been a tough decision but one made for personal reasons, and I leave on great terms with everyone at the club.”

The Cattachs have agreed a two-year deal with the 36-year-old defender.
