Marine Communications Experts Compete in Inaugural Thunderstruck Competition
Marine communication experts participated in Thunderstruck, a first-of-its-kind contest of field radio and combat skills.
A team of four Marines from the headquarters regiment of 1st Marine Logistics Group emerged as winners from among 15 squads.
The Thunderstruck Communications Team Competition, hosted by 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, tested teams of Marines that run the radios, networks and communications gear.
The competition was run by Marine Wing Communication Squadron 38, led by its commander, Lt.
