Manhunt Underway for Ellis Lambert in Pittsylvania County
Authorities in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, are searching for Ellis Lambert, who is considered 'armed and dangerous' after a shooting incident at his family home on Shula Drive in Hurt.
According to Sheriff Mike Taylor, the incident is related to a domestic situation involving a protective order against Lambert. Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call about shots being fired shortly after noon.
"He's being charged with number one originally with violation of protective orders, and he'll be charged with each violation," said Sheriff Taylor. "We're asking him to turn himself in."
Lambert is believed to have fled into the woods and may have been injured by a bullet. The search for him is ongoing.
