The St Patricks Plains wind project in Tasmania has been delayed for the fifth time, with a new deadline for a decision set for November 28.
The project, which was originally designed for 67 turbines and has been scaled back to 47, is proposed for a site in the Central Highlands.
A Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water spokesperson stated that the delays were requested by developer Ark Energy.
The project was deemed to require federal supervision under the EPBC Act in 2019, and Ark Energy acquired the developer in 2022, adding to the delays.
A government spokesperson noted that
both the previous delay and this one were requested by developer Ark Energy.
Ark Energy has been contacted for comment on the delay.
