Measles Outbreak in Minnesota
Minnesota has reported two more measles cases, bringing the total to 20, with 18 cases in children, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Last year, the state reported 70 measles cases, but none in 2023. The two newly reported cases involve unvaccinated children in Ramsey and Hennepin counties.

The Minnesota Department of Health said the children likely contracted measles from an unvaccinated adult.
A large ongoing measles outbreak in Mexico has resulted in 22 deaths, with 4,879 confirmed cases through October 11.
In Mexico, 90% of the cases (4,380) were reported in Chihuahua state, according to the Mexico Ministry of Health.
