Port of Galveston 200 Year Celebration Kicks Off
The Port of Galveston is marking its 200th anniversary with a free public celebration at Pier 21, honoring two centuries of maritime history and economic impact on the Texas Gulf Coast.
The celebration marks the official founding date of the Port of Galveston and will feature live music, a 400-drone light show, and a fireworks finale.
- Parking: $15 per vehicle at Cruise Terminal 16, located at 16th Street and Harborside Drive
- Access: short, lighted walk along Wharf Road
- Event details: 5:30 p.m. Friday, at 2100 Harborside Drive, hosted by the Galveston Wharves
