Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this topic, as I wanted to share my experiences of being in Iraq 20 years ago with the brave men and women of Georgia's 48th Brigade Combat Team.
Last week was National Newspaper Week, which holds personal significance for me. I consider myself fortunate to have the best job in the world, where I get to share my thoughts with readers each week.
Over nearly three decades, I have formed lasting bonds with regular readers, despite never having met them in person. You have been with me through both good times and bad, offering constructive criticism when needed.
I've made good friends with readers I hear from regularly and will likely never meet face-to-face.
