CYCA Commodore Sam Haynes Eyes Off Third Rolex Sydney Hobart Overall Win
Sam Haynes, Commodore of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), will return for the 80th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
Haynes will helm the Volvo 70 Celestial V70, the same yacht that won the 2024 race on corrected time, as he seeks his third Overall win.
- Haynes previously won in 2022 on board his TP52 Celestial.
- The opportunity to vie for the George Adams Tattersall Cup in the race's 80th anniversary was too good to pass up.

Haynes had thought last year's race would be his last, but encouragement from family, renewed crew enthusiasm, and the availability of Celestial V70 have led to a second race in his two-year term.
