Warburtons Acquires Roberts Bakery Ilkeston Factory
Warburtons has confirmed the acquisition of the Roberts Bakery sourdough factory in Ilkeston as part of an administration deal.
A spokesperson for Warburtons stated:
To support the future growth of Warburtons, we have purchased the Roberts Bakery site in Ilkeston. This will provide us with further capacity to meet demand in a growing segment of the bakery market. We have enjoyed a positive relationship with the Roberts family for many years and wish them all the best for the future.
- The acquisition will enable Warburtons to meet growing demand and support the company's future growth.
- Roberts Bakery parent company, Frank Roberts & Sons Ltd, has been saved from administration by Boparan Private Office, securing over 400 jobs.
