International Assistance and America's Interests
When international aid is frozen, America pays the price. Cutting off assistance may sound like putting America first, but in reality, it weakens our economy, endangers our security, and gives our rivals an opening.
I volunteer with the Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a nonpartisan civic organization that mobilizes citizens to strengthen U.S. global leadership and protect effective foreign assistance programs.
When international aid is frozen, America pays the price.
My experience, including graduate studies in global economic governance and public affairs, as well as two years living and studying across Europe, has shown me how U.S. aid programs strengthen allies and promote global stability.
