DC is in desperate need of another horror headliner, and they already have the perfect character for it.
DC is known for its superhero comics, but also explores subgenres like mystery, romance, and horror.
Classic horror comics like Alan Moore’s Saga of the Swamp Thing and John Constantine, Hellblazer, were highly acclaimed.
These horror stories showed a darker perspective of the DC world, scratching the itch for creepier stories while keeping classic superheroic elements.
However, in recent years, the amount of horror comics from DC has decreased significantly.
They have the best character they could ask for.
