Attempted Kidnapping at Kiwanis Park
Springfield Park District Police responded to an attempted kidnapping of a 2-year-old boy at Kiwanis Park.
A suspect, identified as Rodly Pierre, 34, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping, aggravated battery, unlawful restraint, and disorderly conduct.
Pierre was apprehended at the scene and taken to Sangamon County Jail, with assistance from the Springfield Police Department in the investigation.
