WVU President Michael Benson has been traveling throughout the state, visiting 28 of the 55 counties as part of his "Welcome Home" tour.
In his first State of the University address, Benson outlined his vision for the future of the university, touching on topics such as the holiday lighting party and the closure of University Avenue.
The speech, which lasted about 35 minutes, also laid out short, medium, and long-term goals for the university.
