Bethlehem Police reported that an 83-year-old man from West Coxsackie caused two separate crashes within minutes of each other on Friday, resulting in one fatality.

The first crash occurred at 12:46 p.m. on Route 9W, near Church Road. The elderly driver was traveling north and crossed into the southbound lane, sideswiping another vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.

Minutes later, at 12:48 p.m., a second crash happened on Route 9W, near Wemple Road, which proved to be fatal.
