Helicopter Crash in Southern California
A Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper helicopter crashed in Southern California on Thursday evening, resulting in one pilot's death and another's injury.
The helicopter, assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369, was on a routine training flight when it suffered an aviation mishap near Imperial Gables, a remote area in southeastern California.
Emergency crews transported one pilot to Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley, California, where the Marine was confirmed to have died. The incident occurred just after 7 p.m.
