Alberta Introduces New Licence Plates with "Strong and Free" Motto
Alberta has announced plans to upgrade its current licence plates to feature the motto "strong and free".
Premier Danielle Smith and Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction Minister Dale Nally revealed the plans at a press conference, where they also announced an online vote to choose the final design.
- Eight designs will be available to choose from, each displaying unique Alberta landscapes and symbols.
- The transition to the new plates is expected to cost between $25,000 and $50,000, according to Minister Nally.
