Chery Confirms Australian Release of Jaecoo J5 Electric SUV in 2026
Chery will launch the Jaecoo J5 in Australia early next year, a new compact SUV available in three powertrains: a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and hybrid.
The Jaecoo J5 supposedly builds on the success of the mid-size J7, incorporating the same design language, including the car’s upright silhouette, wide shoulders, and signature waterfall grille.
- BEV with 402 kilometres of range (WLTP)
- 1.5-litre series-parallel hybrid
- 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine
Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to launch in February 2026.
