Strengthening the Criminal Code
Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced plans to strengthen the Criminal Code with new legislation.
The proposed changes include "reverse-onus bail" for major crimes and consecutive sentencing, targeting violent and repeat offenders.

The legislation aims to target those accused of serious crimes like violent auto theft, breaking and entering, human trafficking, violent assault and sexual assault.
