Queens Community Board 10 Discusses New Mental Health Crisis Center
During the Queens Community Board 10 meeting, Daniel Donoghue, Chief Operator of Transitional Services NY, presented the nonprofit's plan for a new respite center in Ozone Park.
The proposed center, located at 96-25 Rockaway Blvd., aims to assist individuals in achieving personal recovery goals. It will be divided into two parts: one providing housing for those in immediate emotional crises, and the other offering rehabilitative and transitional services.
- The existing Villa Marcello building will be demolished to make way for the new center.
- The center will have separate entrances and secure lobbies staffed 24/7, with visitors required to sign in for access.
