A Portland husband and father has been jailed for tormenting his family for six months.
The man, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to family violence-related offences in the Portland Magistrates' Court on October 14, 2025.
He had previously faced court for breaking his wife's ribs and had served 109 days in pre-sentence detention.
The court found him suitable for a community correction order (CCO), despite being a high risk of re-offending.
The man's wife and three sons had to overpower him to stop the violence.
The man's sentence includes additional jail time.
