Gen V Creator Eric Kripke Discusses Major Twist
Eric Kripke, co-creator and executive producer of Gen V, revealed the shocking truth behind Dr. Thomas Godolkin's identity as Cipher, the dean of Godolkin University.
In Episode 7 of Season 2, it was exposed that Dr. Godolkin had been disguising himself as Cipher, played by Hamish Linklater, throughout the entire series.
Dr. Godolkin's plan was to train Marie to become strong enough to obtain the power of healing and/or resurrection.
After manipulating Marie into restoring him to his original form, Dr. Godolkin separated himself from his host, whose real name is Doug Brightbill.
- Marie, played by Jaz Sinclair, was left drained after bringing Dr. Godolkin back to life.
- Cate and Jordan carried Marie, who had passed out, after the ordeal.
Kripke also addressed the time gap between the end of Gen V Season 2 and the beginning of The Boys Season 5.
