Apple's iPhone notch has been replaced with a new feature called the Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped cut-out at the top of the display.
The notch was last seen on the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, and iPhone SE (2022), but has now been completely replaced.
It turns out someone had already trademarked Expand-O-Lozenge.
The Dynamic Island is a dynamic interface feature, unlike any other pill-shaped cut-out, with a name reminiscent of a yoga pose.
Apple's new flagship phones now feature this innovative design.
