These counterfeit brands are reportedly smuggled from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Some customers prefer the cheaper, smuggled or counterfeit products over the more expensive branded ones.
The Davao City Council has started a probe into the proliferation of smuggled cigarettes in Mindanao.
