Boeing has shared details of its CxR unmanned tiltrotor concept, a modular drone designed to complement the US Army’s Apache and Chinook helicopters.
The CxR (Collaborative Transformational Rotorcraft) concept was revealed at AUSA 2025, with Boeing engineers describing it as a high-speed, unmanned tiltrotor capable of performing reconnaissance, strike, and transport missions.
According to Boeing, the CxR is designed to operate alongside crewed platforms in attack, reconnaissance, and logistics roles, advancing the company's vision for a new class of unmanned tiltrotor aircraft.
Boeing engineers told reporters the aircraft is meant to be a high-speed, unmanned tiltrotor able to perform reconnaissance, strike, and transport missions.
